In a traditional classroom, students are required to sit still on hard wooden/metal chairs for hours everyday. Through flexible seating, students have the option of sitting where they work best. Student choice is critical for student success. This also includes choice in seating. Some students work better sitting on a comfy rug rather than a desk. Or they may just need a break from the desk, and want to stretch their legs, while still working on their tasks. My Special Education students also enjoy the feeling of a rug or carpet, as opposed to a cold metal chair. Help my students reach their potential through flexible seating.
