Kindergarten provides students with the tools to learn and practice the essential social, emotional, problem-solving, and study skills that they will use throughout their schooling. Learning stations are a big part of kindergarten instruction. Learning stations accommodate different learning styles, and allow students to self-direct as they apply skills and strategies in fun, engaging ways. The flexible seating requested will provide me with the tools to construct a student centered learning environment. It will give my students a sense of empowerment by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and with whom. It also allows them to change their location and positions as needed. I want my student to Love their learning station.
