These books will provide students a break from the constant screen time they have become accustomed to. Our classroom library is a place that my students enjoy engaging in different times and places, both fictional and real, and find a chance to explore a new world. This series was chosen with my students in mind. I want to give them the opportunity to explore some more difficult historical concepts through this novel series. Students will be able to have thoughtful discussion about important historical events through the context of these stories. These discussions will allow my students to strengthen their skills in academic discourse and interpersonal communication. In addition, the best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.
