The materials will help struggling students return to the classroom with exciting hands-on learning in science and math. It is important for them to be successful, enjoy what their doing, and generate a tangible product. We will begin the 6 weeks by learning about gardening. Specifically, they will master how to identify seeds, choose soil, construct a garden bed, and to maintain plants until they are ready for picking. We will culminate our 6 weeks with a garden salad luncheon for all the students and staff in the summer learning program.
