My Mindfulness activities will allow students to begin each day with a relaxed and positive mindset. I will use the materials requested to teach kids with autism to cope better with sensory overload. I will also use the material to help all students develop self-regulation skills and reduce stress. By practicing mindfulness, my students will increase their ability to focus on their academic tasks and improve overall emotional well-being. Mindfulness activities will allow them to focus on their academic tasks and reduce the adverse effects of trauma, abuse, neglect and PTSD.
