New to my position, I am able to not only teach weekly social/emotional lessons to ALL K-2 students for the entire school year, but I also get to work with small groups and individuals needing additional support and practice to help them be more successful. Using the "Little Spot" Book series, students can identify with the specific 'spots' and learn more about themselves and others. Students can learn emotions, feelings, life skills, and growth mindset! The books can be used as a focus for small groups or can be individualized when working on a specific skill such as how to handle anger or what to do if they are feeling anxious. The use from these books are limitless! They will provide a common language/connection for the 'littles' to use to help them in school, at home, and in the community! The series inspires creativity and encourages children to become the best that they can be!
