Everyone knows kindergartners have lots of energy. Because of this, sometimes sitting in a chair all day is difficult. They need an outlet for this energy, while still working. Once, I had a student who really struggled with sitting still and focusing. Luckily, she was able to try a wobble ball and her focus greatly improved! She was able to wiggle and wobble while listening and completing her work. I want to give my students every opportunity to excel, and by letting them choose their seat only improves their chances! Sitting all day in chairs isn't ideal for every student, especially in kindergarten. If my students have a chance to use a stool or a wobble ball, they can wiggle while working. Some students work better while sitting on the floor also, which is why the lap floor desks would be a great option for those kiddos.
