Our counseling class got an upgrade last year from a traveling cart, to a dedicated classroom. I am working very hard to be able to provide students with a warm, inviting space to come and visit. Right now, the biggest thing I am missing to make my vision a reality is a big nice carpet for my kiddos to sit on for classes and play therapy. Classroom carpets are so important for a variety of reasons, from helping to buffer sound and offering flexible seating options, to brightening up the atmosphere and sharing meaningful information in a friendly way. The carpet I have chosen for our counseling space has a pattern that reinforces positive character traits like respect, responsibility, and caring, and celebrates diversity. So in addition to providing seating and brightening up the space, it can be used as a teaching tool in our classes! Anyone who has ever worked in the field of Education will tell you that having a classroom atmosphere that supports growth and learning is an essential part of the teaching process. Children learn best in rooms that are comfortable, inviting, and decorated thoughtfully, with their needs in mind. Please help me provide a more optimal learning environment for my students.
