I am looking to fund resources to run LEGO groups where students can learn social skills in a safe, structured setting and apply what they learn to real-life situations. Picture kids who don't understand how to make friends, the ones wandering the playground with no one to play with - these are the kids I want to help. Each child has a role with its own rules. Students learn to advocate for themselves, set boundaries, respect the boundaries of others and succeed in making something as a team. They learn how to communicate social issues and problem solve. These skills then transfer into the classroom, onto the playground, and students begin to create a social circle.
