Students must be taught how to approach and solve problems or they will be left behind. They need to be taught to THINK. Fact learning is not enough to be successful. 3D printing is a tool that can give students opportunities to research a real-world problem, design a solution, create and then test their ideas. Science models can be created to deepen in their understanding of the topic. In addition to creating solutions, 3D printing engages students in the use of a new technology that many have never seen before. And 3D printing is FUN, as all learning should be!
