My students -like most, struggle to master the concepts of percents, decimals, rates of change, and money math. The variety of disabilities my students have results in more challenges learning these concepts without hands on learning supports. This project will fund the creation of a classroom Math Market where students will be able to put what they've learned in the classroom to daily life practice. For Example: after learning about adding decimals students will "go shopping" with realistic fake money, find the sum of their carts, and see directly how math is used to function in society.
