With flexible seating the students will be able to have a little bit of movement while they are learning- which has been proven to assist many young people in the learning process. To ensure fairness in utilizing the flexible seating each student will be given a number and they will know which days they get to pick their flexible seating on. I don't give a lot of homework so encouraging student engagement, during class, is the best way to help them to comprehend the material. My classroom is a safe zone from bullying, drama and the outside world and allowing students to choose their own seating will enhance my "safe zone" rules!
