It is crucial that teachers provide a classroom library that all students in the class can connect with. A diverse collection of books that are available for students to read in classrooms helps students affirm their personal cultural identities. In addition, exposing students to books of other cultures help develop a positive and deep understanding of other cultures. Please help provide my second grade students with mirrors and windows in the books that they read by giving them a diverse collection of books for our classroom library. Thank you for your generosity. If you give me this opportunity to build my classroom library, it will have a huge impact on my students' learning.
