My MATHsterminds and Science Scholars love hands-on activities. Math manipulatives help them reinforce learning during math lab and instruction. The scholars will also receive individual math toolkits I’ve made that will store the manipulatives for each lesson. For science, my scholars love to see physical versions of what they are learning. They gather around and love to touch and grasp each concept especially during lifecycles and plant growth. I would like then to be able to have items available outside of a textbook. My scholars are curious and have questions on each lesson, the manipulatives and book s will help. I am also building a class library going into my full first year. I want to have books about diversity and foster a class community family . During our lunch meet and eats, I conduct read-alouds and have great discussions with the scholars.
