CJ Reynolds stated in his book titled, Teach Your Class Off, "If we want students to be inspired, creative, happy, and productive, we need to create classrooms that reflect those aspirations." This is what I hope to do with the materials I am requesting in this project. Too often, we undervalue the importance of the learning environment. If there is one thing I learned while teaching through a pandemic, it is that learning is most shaped through an experience. When students are in my room, not only are they learning about the Ancient Egyptians, Greek mythology, or the Crusades... they are also building memories through experiences. I want my students to come in my room and feel inspired and excited for the lesson that day. It begins with the space they are learning in.
