These materials will be used by my students throughout the school day. The students can use the materials for movement breaks, practice with socialization, and use this creativity time as incentive to behave properly and do their best all day. Having incentives is huge when teaching students with behavior difficulties. They don’t want to sit and listen to a lesson. They don’t want to do their homework. But, if you tell them they can use the creativity materials afterwards, they’re more likely to comply. An added bonus is that they’re still learning through playing!
