It wasn't until I was an adult nearing the end of my undergraduate degree until I was diagnosed with a reading disability. I knew that I had only accomplished as much as I had with the support and resources that my teachers provided to me. These teachers went beyond their job description to support me simply for the love of teaching a learner that desperately wanted knowledge. The resources that I am requesting will be viewed as tools for knowledge. Learning is the greatest gift that I have been taught how to do. I want to help these students realize that even though learning is more difficult for them than others, it is worth all the effort. These materials can help lay a foundational knowledge that these students can build upon after they leave my classroom.
