Our classroom uses math centers for a large portion of our math block. Students rotate through multiple activities in a class period. The Math in a Flash Discovery Cans, dice, and fraction circles, and other math manipulatives will allow me to give students hands-on activities that are engaging year after year. Students love being able to interact with materials. With these activities, students will be able to engage and fully comprehend the concepts we are practicing during our math centers. Manipulatives also help me reach students that have different learning styles during small groups by allowing me to show them different ways of looking at a problem.
