Students will be able to come and relax on the rug and either draw how they are feeling with crayons or markers or if they don't know how to express themselves, read a book that relates to what they are feeling. Students often need a safe, comfortable place to recharge their batteries so that they can return to their learning with a fresh face and mind. These materials will allow the students to process what they are feeling so they are better able to return to their classroom learning. It should be a place that they can come to before a potential "meltdown" may happen and learn how to deal with what they are feeling.
