Paper tasks and the classic game of 'Go Fish' is becoming tiresome to the kids and I can see they are losing interest which stops their learning. I strive to keep up their willingness to attend speech and motivation to succeed. These games can help me do just that! Lack of motivation = lack of will to work and thats why we need these games! By having them, I will be able to change up the pace of a boring articulation drill session or reading comprehension passage. Along with working on their speech and language targets they can also learn about teamwork, turn-taking, fairness, and sharing. I can utilize them during our articulation sessions, targeting a sound and then taking a turn at the game. I can also utilize them during a language session, having them practice asking for turns and offering turns to their peers.
