The sensory wiggle seat will make a difference in my students’ learning by providing them with a choice of seating. The wiggle seat will allow my 1st graders to have controlled movement during instruction. On multiple occasions, I have seen children with a need to have access to a tool that will help keep them remain seated. These seats will be used strictly in the classroom to allow flexibility when needed. I saw several lessons in a 2nd grade classroom when children were provided with wiggle seats and they loved them. I witnessed how the seat improved posture, allowed room for controlled movement and kept the students seated. I had to incorporate them in my classroom with 1st grade.
