This year, I have discovered the magic of graphic novels to ignite a love for reading in this population - some who have never finished a book on their own before. Many others in my classes crave books that speak to their experience and background, which is highly diverse. Funding my project will mean increased levels of literacy and building confidence in being able to read grade level books. Please help me create a classroom library for my students that they will love and be inspired by.
