The materials included in a Really Great Reading Classroom kit will help me facilitate learning in my 23 first-graders as they are taught phonemic awareness and phonics instruction based on scientific research. Using a hands-on approach will make the learning more accessible for my students. I will use these materials in whole group and small group settings. I will purchase 14 additional student sets of hands-on materials with my own money. The virtual component will be incredibly helpful should our learning need to be virtual. Even if learning is not virtual, students can use the technology on 1:1 devices.
