This school year has been very difficult. Numerous times I would catch myself saying "come to the rug" for an activity. Due to the pandemic, this was not an option. For the 1st time in 22 years I could not have my students gather around me to read a book or share work they were proud of. Having a classroom rug is a very important part of the room. It is where learning takes place. It is where a community is built. This classroom rug will allow me to give back the love of having a book read or gathering around while I explain a new math game. Not having a rug this past year is one of the things I missed the most.

About my class
