The materials will be used to create a cozy corner in my ESE classroom. The rug and the flexible seating options will assist in making the student feel relaxed and safe. Many of my students not only struggle academically, but emotionally as well. The comfy rug, pillows, cozy chair and wiggle seats will assist in targeting their sensory systems that need addressing in order for them to calm down and reflect. The cozy corner will also be used for a comfortable spot for students when reading independently and for small group social skills or academic lessons. Having this option for the students ESE students will enhance their school experience.
