If you wee given the choice to watch a movie in color or black and white, what would you pick? Chances ares, you would choose the colored option. The same principles that keep us engaged in a movie are the ones that apply to worksheets and printables in the classroom! Students love to be given bright and colorful worksheets to learn new concepts in the classroom. With your help, I can print and provide engaging lessons for my students. According to Shifte Learning, "studies has confirmed the 65 percent of the population are visual learners, graphics are key to engaging students. Visuals summarize content into smaller, and easier to process chunks." I have noticed, while I as a Paraprofessional, that students are able to recall information more readily when they have seen it in color rather than in black and white text. As you can see, together we can greatly impact my student's learning just by a press of a button.
