These books that I have selected will be added to my classroom library for the students to access throughout the school day. These books include children/ families of several different cultures as well as people with different types of disabilities. The stories include different genres of culturally strong characters as well as strong nonfiction individuals. These books allow the students to find people of different backgrounds and connect to them in ways that they didn't realize. This project will allow students to be accepting of everyone by creating background knowledge of these different cultures and abilities.
