By providing my students with flexible seating, it will allow them to receive intensive intervention instruction while sitting comfortably. Since my students range from K-6, there are a variety of needs. In my current classroom, there are regular desks and chairs. Some of the chairs are too small for the older students. It is hard to come up with a happy medium for the heights of the chairs. By providing the students with options for seating, they will be able to be comfortable while learning. I have asked for 6 chairs to create a space for them that will make instruction more effective. In my groups, I will have no more than 6 students at a time so they will all be able to use them at the same time if needed. I know that making a change in the seating, will provide my students who need flexibility the opportunity to be successful in their learning.
