Some students are incapable of sitting in a chair and still while learning. While chaos is not the goal, my students acquiring the math and science skills necessary to be successful in the classroom and life is certainly where I have set my sights with as few distractions as possible. I am in IT for my students to Win IT! Most of my nine and ten year old fourth graders are active and fidget in their seats non-stop. Flexible seating will allow them to move as needed and learn without disturbing other students. I can see them bouncing and completing math problems on their yoga ball seat or splayed across the carpet as they learn the order of the planets and their characteristics.
