Comfortable and alternate seating arrangements are extremely important in every diverse English Language Arts (ELA) classroom, to facilitate students’ continuous growth. In ELA these flexible seats will promote universal design, collaboration, integration and learner agency as students interact with varied texts and skills. Students will be more willing to participate in the teaching, learning process when they are furnished with a student centered learning environment that meets their learning styles and needs. The classroom has experienced a lot of changes resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, which must be planned for intentionally. The flexible seats will replace cushions, making them easier to clean after each use, to ensure students’ safety.
