My students get the wiggles in class and find it hard to focus on academics. That's where sensory supports from OT come in! The wobble seats and theraband will help them get needed movement while still in the classroom environment. My older students come to the OT room and make a bee-line for the small trike. But they've outgrown it and don't fit on it anymore. These bigger kids will benefit from a larger trike - to provide bilateral coordination and reciprocal leg movement, as well as visual spatial "driving" skills. Some kids learn better with movement, so an obstacle course to navigate while picking up letters from the floor as they "drive" will be an extra benefit!
