These materials will be used when a student is overstimulated or feeling frustrated throughout the school day. These materials will be used to help students regulate their emotions and bring them back to a place where they are calm and ready to learn. As a first-year teacher, I want to create an environment that is safe, supportive, and loving. My students need a space that will allow them to work on strategies that best suit their needs and interests to regulate their emotions and get them to a place where they are able to work in the classroom. Since this is a new program, I am really working to get resources for my students that can be used in the classroom.
