As an English Language Arts Reading teacher, my primary intention is to turn my students into lifelong readers, and choice plays a big role in that. Flexible seating options allow my students to be able to have control and choose the best places for them to learn, and to also have a say in their learning throughout the school day. Kids learn and retain more information when they are both comfortable and engaged. After a year of chaos, sadness, distance, and learning loss, I want the classroom to feel safe and encouraging.

About my class
