I teach 5th grade Language Arts to 95 students. I have a classroom full of students eager to learn. I have many different reading levels that need extra help with programs that require headphones. This will help students to stay focused. I use whiteboards for guided practice. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. These boards get very used over time. The Cricut machine will be a great help in making my classroom boards look and feel like a place of learning. By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, not whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn.
