Students spend more time in the classroom than they do at home during the school year. I always try to make sure my classroom is a "homey" environment in which students feel loved, protected, and comfortable. The lanterns, light covers, garland, and string lights will help add that homey feel. I was a virtual teacher last year and donated a lot of my classroom supplies to other teachers who needed them; therefore I am almost starting over. Things imperative to making it a successful year include pocket chart, magnetic numbers for small groups, classroom mail slot for students, anchor chart markers, desk chair, pencil slots and pencils to ensure students aren't wasting their pencils, pens, dry erase markers and pockets for small group, parts of speech and punctuation references for students, a pencil sharpener, and dry erase clipboards for whole group and small group learning. The bookcases will be used to build up a classroom library to engage students to read. Thank you for considering to donate to my classroom.
