All students do not learn to read easily. Providing materials to early readers helps them hear, see, feel, manipulate and understand the way letters and sounds are formed. Many students need different approaches to crack the reading code. Using multiple senses to discover the reading code will help our students become life long readers. Your generous donation will provide mirrors to show student how we form the sounds with our mouth. We will build letters with magnets and wiki stix and use sandpaper to feel the way the letters are formed. We will segment and blend letters to hear how they make words. We will read and write letters to make words and understand their code. We will manipulate letters and words and we will read passages to connect what has been taught.
