During math, my students are asked to "show their thinking" or "defend your answer" over and over again. We use regular dry erase boards and markers daily. Most of the boards are cracked, stained, or misplaced. Markers are always lost or missing caps and students' erasers are lost as well. This can make for some frustrated mathematicians! Using the whiteboards allows students to show their work and model their thinking in a way that allows for quick adjustments and assessment and they simply feel special using the dry erase markers! The whiteboards allow for me to quickly assess my students and to check for their understanding of many skills. These Kleen Slate boards come with individual markers that click into the handle and a cloth eraser that attaches as well! Everything is connected as one tool! The double-sided board allows for endless possibilities! One side is a solid whiteboard, while the other has a sleeve that allows for interchangeable pages to be inserted! This would allow students to have access to graphic organizers, lines, graphs, number diagrams, Venn diagrams, the list goes on and on! This would be an amazing tool to help students organize their numbers and work! These boards aren't only amazing for math, they can be used in any content area!
