I want to foster a love of reading for my 3rd graders and a variety of books will allow me to do that. Reading helps develop critical thinking skills, builds vocabulary, improves communication skills, and so much more. My plan is to read the first book of each of these series aloud to my class. Then the rest of the books in the series will be available in my classroom for the students to choose from if they enjoyed the first book. My hope is that by reading a variety of books to my students, I will have something for everyone to enjoy.
