The standards for this class say that "students will create a project or program a physical device," and "identify and fix problems with the program or device." Spheros provide a super fun, hands-on way to physically program and see the success or problem with their programming. The COVID-19 pandemic has left my students spending most of their time using a computer or Chromebook in all of their classes. Using the Spheros will provide variety and depth to their programming experience. This will not provide enough Spheros for each student to have their own, so, I plan to have the students work in partners or groups. This will give students opportunities to develop and practice the collaboration and communication skills that are needed in computer science and all aspects of life.
