These supplies will help me to create hands-on lessons for my students where we will use project-based learning to help enrich student learning. I think this is important for my kids because these projects allow my students to explore aspects of our topics that are meaningful to them on an individual level while giving them opportunities to deepen each other’s understanding as well. This project will be the first step in creating a classroom where we can take our learning and make real world applications that carry over to the students' lives outside of the classroom. We will be using these supplies to help us create hands-on projects such as poster board presentations of social studies topics we cover in class as well as to help bring an art dynamic into our regular assignments by using the colored pencils to draw illustrations for the students to demonstrate understanding of the content.
