Creating an in-class reading library would be an awesome reward for all their hard work. The dread of going to the school library would be over. My students would not only feel safe to choose picture books, but also would be comfortable with reading in their own reading oasis. Oral book reports are a blast with this group. They cannot wait to share what they learned or share the amazement of their book’s adventure with their fellow classmates. The world definitely becomes bigger through reading and in Texas we love things that are BIG.

About my class
