Printmaking is an excellent way to learn about colors, patterns and other design elements that most of these young learners know nothing about. With this young age group we will focus on monoprinting, which is great in that there is no such things as mistakes! Even pieces that do not turn out exactly as the student desired can be used on additional educational lessons (repurposed) such as collages, creating maximum student benefit. Printmaking is a lesson area that has not been taught in our school for at least five years and needs to come back!
