Group time is an important part of our day. We use this time to build classroom community as well as use it for instructional time. My classroom does not have a carpet. Having a carpet will make group time more comfortable for students and allow for them to have a defined space. Clear expectations are so important for kindergarteners and having this kind of carpet will make it much easier for my students to follow group time expectations. Having a carpet will make our classroom feel more welcoming and like a home!
