I have a very diverse classroom of students many of whom require assistance for basic needs. I have a high percentage of children receiving free and reduced lunch. The children in my room are bright sweet and of course enthusiastic. I am always challenging myself to find new ways to bring literature to my students. Our school is a blending of many cultures where children come first. The staff strive to create a safe and nurturing environment for the children to learn. The children do not have the opportunity to see many types of literature at home. It is my goal to bring this chance to them at school.
