The teen wobble seats offer students the opportunity to sit in a more flexible seat to allow them movement without disrupting the learning of others. These young minds have "fatigue-resistant muscles with high metabolisms to keep them active" (Salem, 2018). While many adults prefer a stand-up desk or need to get up and walk around to keep their minds fresh, our young learners need to fidget. Studies show students have increased academic performance and improved behavior in a classroom that incorporates movement. In a mentally demanding class such as mathematics, students need to keep their brains sharp. Simple movements such as rocking, wobbling, and leaning can keep their minds alert while also working out any anxieties or nerves.
