A carpet for students to sit on is an integral part of the classroom. A lot of learning takes plaice on the carpet. It’s a shared meeting space. Students gather on the carpet several times throughout the day. The day begins with morning meetings where students are able to have conversations with their classmates before instruction begins. Whole group instruction takes place on the carpet. During learning stations students may choose w work on the carpet with a group. After lunch students meet on the carpet to regroup for the rest of the day. Students meet on the carpet again at the end of the do debrief from the day.
