I want students to see that there is more to art than putting a pencil to a sheet of paper. I want them to be introduced to print making, stop motion animation, and the use of different mediums with art. Art is also a great way to connect stories and lessons learned in other classes. The supplies I am looking to add to my classroom will help more than 600 students have the opportunity to create and express themselves in a positive manner. Students creativity opens up so many doors inside and outside of the classrooms. Art programs have the potential to help with students memory and concentration skills, develop decision-making and critical thinking skills, enhance communication and listening skills, but also encourage focus and discipline.

About my class
