Reading is a fundamental skill for children. It is a life skill that supersedes all others. However it is becoming more and more challenging keeping their attention to deciphering words and comprehending stories. My goal is to use these hands-on materials to create a more kinesthetic learning environment centered around reading. Poppers will help decipher sounds and syllables by pushing buttons as they say the sounds. Wiki sticks will help formation of words and spelling while developing fine motor skills. The dry erase markers will transfer hands-on learning into writing. This will cause their reading to begin rocking!
