Reluctant readers need inspiration to be motivated to read. Classroom libraries have the potential to increase student motivation, engagement, and achievement. Flexible seating and creative work spaces play a key role in students becoming critical thinkers and analytical readers. A cozy, comfortable, and vast classroom library will give my struggling readers a place to get lost in a story, go on an adventure, and become lifelong readers. A creative and comfortable learning space can aid in creativity and provide students an escape. For my students on the Autism spectrum, a tent, comfortable pillows, and neutral tones provide a place of tranquility from a noisy collaborative space. Along with my Amazon Wish List for classroom books, an established library area will foster reading success.
