A resource room that provides students with flexible seating and hands on tactiles/materials supports the individual learning style of every student. By supporting this project, you are helping to give students with disabilities a safe space to call their own. This classroom is meant to meet student’s individual needs by providing academic support, a calming space and an opportunity to engage in social play with peers. Flexible seating allows students to move around when engaging in academics. This helps with longer periods of concentration. By giving the classroom a look far from the traditional, we are helping students feel comfortable and excited to come to receive the support they need to achieve success in an all inclusive campus.
